​A global professional association for English language educators involved in the teaching English as a second, foreign, or other language.  The Kentucky branch of this organization is known as KYTESOL.

• WIDA (World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment)

WIDA supports academic language development and academic achievement for linguistically diverse students through high quality standards, assessments, research, and professional development for educators.  Kentucky is one of 27 states that belong to the WIDA consortium and have adopted their Language Development Standards and Assessments.​​
